Crystal,

It is nice to see that you are interested again in family research. We have not been in touch since 2004 when we exchanged photos. I have spent many hours researching, preparing and posting memorial pages with photos and bios on Find A Grave. You can find much of the Jiles family connections included in their memorial. Please drop into visit and leave flowers and/or messages for your loved ones.

If my records are correct, other half siblings of Elzie Loranza Jiles are Virginia "Jennie", Andrew Franklin, Willie Raymond, Starling, John, Mattie, Leon, Edgar Lee Woodrow Jiles and Thomas Iuria Fogger.

Notes for Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Causey) Fogger Jiles:

Elizabeth Causey was the 2nd. wife of Starling Jiles. She first married A.E. Fogger, 5/16/1897 (or date license issued) Lincoln Parish, LA, Bk D, Pg 180. He died 7/6/1906, Charity Hospital, Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA

They had four or five children including twin girls who died at birth or as young children. Only one child, Thomas Iuria lived to adulthood.

She is buried in the Walnut Creek Cemetery, Simsboro, Lincoln Parish, LA. At one time, there was a fieldstone with a cross carved in it to mark her gravesite. This was told to me by her grandson, Rev. Glen Fogger in a 2007 phone interview.

Thomas J. Causey married Sarah Brown, 1/4/1866, Bienville Parish, LA (?S=Ancestry)

Although unproven, it is believed that Elizabeth "Lizzie", William A. and Rose Lee (Rosellee (sp?) 1880 census) are the children of Thomas J. Causey and Sarah Brown.

Lincoln Parish, LA Marriage Records, Book D, 1877-1885, Page 127, Thom. J. Causey married M.J. Till, 12/31/1879. 1880 Lincoln Parish census, Mary, age 23, listed as wife of Thom J. Causey.

Notes for William A. Causey:

William Causey married Frances Elizabeth “Fannie” Boyd. They had children Rosa (married Willie Raymond Jiles) Dora (married Starling Jiles, Jr.) Minnie, Myrtle, Albert, Earl, Ethel, Chester and Lottie (sp?) May.

It appears that two Jiles brothers, Raymond and Starling, married two Causey sisters, Rosa and Dora. Their father’s sister, Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Causey) Fogger, married their husband's father, Starling Jiles, Sr. Their Aunt Rosa Lee Causey married Tim Higdon and their daughter Aurora married John Jiles, son of Starling, Sr. and his first wife Frances.

Recorded in the Walnut Creek Cemetery, Simsboro, Lincoln Parish, LA;

CAUSEY, Willie No Dates

CAUSEY, Fannie No Dates

Notes for Rose Lee Causey:

Rose Lee (William’s sister, 1880 census) married Tim W. Higdon, 7/31/1890, Bk D, 1887-1894, Pg 227, Lincoln Parish, LA. Rose Lee Causey and Tim Higdon's daughter, Aurora, married John Jiles, 1917, Lincoln Parish, LA, Bk K, Pg 64. They had one known son, J.C. Jiles, born about 1918. Aurora and her son are enumerated in the household of her father in 1920, Jackson Parish, LA.

Recorded in the Walnut Creek Cemetery, Simsboro, Lincoln Parish, LA;

HIGDON, Rosa Lee l May 1865 23 May 1898
HIGDON, Timothy Wane 3 Jan 1867 17 Feb 1954

According to the records, Rose Lee died after the 1900 census and before the 1910 census.

I would appreciate any correction are additions.

Audrey
