J Christiansen,
Thank you so much in taking an interest in my family search. You are right, it is a puzzle and since I started searching I have come across many puzzles but they were somehow instrumental to solve another puzzle ,so I would not dismiss yours as I never looked at Oberlander family history, people who were born in Czechoslovakia priorto 1880 on arrival in the USA they have registered themselves as Austrian as at that time Czechoslovakia was under the Austrian Hungarian empire after 1880 ,Czechoslovakia was under the Hungarian ,so those who arrived after that date registered themselves as Hungarian. Many people who emigrated at that time in the USA they married from the same village they have come from . Many Jewish families were related to each other several time from different sides, so it was possible that all the Jews in one village were somehow related to each other. so it is possible that Issack Weiss or Isam Weiss was somehow related because in the USA they all stayed with their families.
I very much appreciate your interest and help and certainly I will now investigate who is Isam Weiss.
Thank you and wish you all the best.
