I read Hebrew fluently and the tombstone inscription is quite clear (and also, very nicely engraved):
Our dear mother, Marat
Hadassa, daughter of Reb Yisrael Isser
died 27 Cheshvan 5685
(Marat is a courtesy title, like Mrs., and Reb is a courtesy title, like Mister.)
Anyone who tells you that heh-dalet-samekh-heh spells Haddasha doesn't know how to read Hebrew.
Hodes is a common Yiddish variant of Haddasa originating in Lithuania/Belarus/Ukraine/Russia. (Polish Jews pronounce it as Hudes or Udes.)
Whoever ordered this monument chose a good-quality stone (see how well it has held up these 88 years), beautiful fonts and first-class engraving.
