Again thank you Bob will follow-up. Have not heard of a Sam but could possibly be a middle name. I have no definite knowledge but it may be that Jennie was a second wife because my grandmother was 21 when she married in 1898 so even allowing for a slight age discrepancy Jennie would have been too young to have had my grandmother or David listed on the 1900 ny census as 23 although there is also a David listed as 14. There is no doubt that Joseph is my great-grandfather and the patriach of this whole family but until I can trace a live descendant who has some further knowlege I am not sure I will be able to sort it out. However, what you have given me is very helpful and will continue to pursue.
