The Moschel name definitely has a link to Jews, as a variant of Moses. The name was common among Polish Jewry, although in its Polish spelling, Moszel (pronounced "moshel").
Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial and research center in Israel, has records of many Jewish victims of the Holocaust named Moszel and Moschel (these are available online).
Ancestry.com (where you also have posted) publishes books on names that appear in genealogical records, such as US census, draft cards, etc, all under the generic title of The [name] in History, and the names Moschel and Moschell are included. Amazon carries them, and you can see them here:

Not all persons named Moschell are Jewish. A look at US federal census returns from several decades shows many Americans with that name who clearly are not Jewish, so it is likely that there are other sources for the name outside of Jewish culture.Do you know how long your Moshell ancestors have lived in America, and do you where they lived before they came to America? If so, that will give you a clue as to whether they were Jewish or not.
