A very interesting find...checking many of them it doesn't actually say they are jewish ...it states the index used for verification. the one name christian brooke that was from a jewish index still does not tell us if he is jewish as it depends on one's definition used.
orthodox jews go by the maternal line even if the child becomes a famous cardinal of the roman catholic church.
nazis used any connection to jews to call someone jewish and make them a target. as someone married to a jew or having a non blood relative , or just looking crosseyed at the gestatpo. googling the name shows the original intent of using such as a given name.as christian.
in general it's not a good idea to just go by names to determine someone's religion.Their customs ,beliefs ,temple attendance etc are more accurate indicators.
just some personal thoughts on the subject....to each his own.....
