Susan,
Great questions. I would try searching Google UK. These are questions that will take years to answer. They can only be answered with very thorough research. It needs to be a passion or an obsession. I often find clues where I least expect it. I use google and I search for all kinds of names, places, etc, one leads to another and then I cut and paste the information making sure that I save the web address where the info came from so if I need to go back there and look again I can, that's very important. Eventually you have many pieces of a puzzle. Go to the Taylor message boards and study them. Stir up conversation. I have been searching for my husband's family too, he has a grandfather that's a Taylor. You might try Tadio, there are other spellings for Taylor. My husband's Taylors went to Canada. Good Luck!
