Do you have more information about this proposed library? Will this library contain information specific to the city of Vilna? Or will it also contain information about the broader Vilna Goberna (more like a county) and the stetls it contained? I am interested in finding information about the stetl of Meritz (Merkine, Meretch, Merch, etc.)in Vilna where my ancestors came from. And does anyone know if there are any records left from prior to WWII going as far back as the 18th century?
