Dolph T. Jewett [born Theodore Adolphus], 63, 309 E. 13th Street, [Port Angeles, Clallam Co., WA] died Thursday [5 Sep 1968] after a short illness. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home with the Rev. James Ledbetter officiating.
Mr. Jewett was born in Mount Vernon [Skagit County, WA] in [31 October] 1904. He attended school there and worked for the Bureau of Fisheries and later for the Carnation Condenser. He was married to Fern Hinchen in [Mt. Vernon, Skagit Co., WA on 4 Jul] 1931. The family moved to Forks [Clallam Co., WA] in 1941, where he was employed by Huling Bros. Shake and Shingle Co. Mr. Jewett was a member of the Shingle Weavers Union.
He is survived by his wife, of Port Angeles; a son, Jack Jewett of Puyallup; two daughters, Mrs. Cleo [Dianne] Glennan of Bellevue [WA] and Melinda Jewett of Seattle [WA]; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer [Mary] Wood of Wenatchee [WA]; Mrs. Charles [Edith] Wrangham of California, and Mrs. Roy [Gertrude] Riebel of Bremerton [WA]. He also is survived by five grandchildren.
