I'm looking for any information on descendants of Bill Rheda and Herbert Eugene Burke, both from Virginia and my grandparents. I think I got the spellings right.
Basically all I know is my grandfather's father's name, John Burke. I saw a picture of him and he my grandpa was basically the spitting image of this man except John Burke had impressively long arms and legs. I saw a photo of my grandma's(still living) parents and her Dad was on the shorter side but had a dark complexion and black hair while her mother(surname was Mullins) was very fair skinned and also shorter.
I was always intrigued where the black hair and dark skin came from as opposed to the fairer skin typed individuals in the family. I'm guessing it's from the Jessee side. A side I don't know much about.
So if anyone might any information of who my grandparents might be descended from and/or WHERE(that's another interest point for me) they came from before coming to America. I've heard England, Ireland(supposedly the dark features are "dark irish or black Irish), and even some references to Indian heritage. So anything anyone has would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
