I am aware of George R. Jessee, born Feb., 1886. He was a railroad man; son of Flemming Burke Jessee, born Jan. 19, 1863 and Mary E. Denison. George married Pearl Wilson and they had five children. George had 1 sister and 11 half siblings, one of whih was Flemming Jessee.

This George was an engineer for the Great Northern Railway. He had a leg injury that he later died from.

George's grandfather was Fleming Burk Jessee, born c1813-1814. Fleming Burk Jessee was the son of Jane Burk, born c1794-1795 in Russell Co. VA and James Jessee, born 1794. Jane was the second child of Fleming Burk, Sr.

This line goes back to the immigrant, John Burk, who came to Lancaster Co., later Middlesex Co., VA from England around 1650.

If this is your line e-mail me at jmburke@bellsouth.net
