William Henry JESS b. 02 Jan 1822 Scott's Bay, Cornwallis, NS; d. 04 Oct 1912 Scott's Bay, NS; buried in Union Church Cemetery, Scott's Bay, NS.

First wife: Lavinia PINEO m. 03 Jun 1849 Scott's Bay (div. ?).
One issue - William b. 01 May 1843; d. 06 Apr 1926 San Leandro, CA; his only son Willard Noble b. 12 Sep 1866 Avonport, NS; d. 04 Oct 1945 Napa, CA

Second wife: Elizabeth PINEO; eight issues

This is the Jess family from Kings County, NS.

There was Edward JESS (b. 1873) and Edward JESS (b. 1899) who boarded (1901) in Springhill, NS.

Edward L. JESS served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in WW I.

(I have not been able to find a connection between the two Jess families...Scott's Bay, Kings County...and Springhill, Cumberland County, NS.)
