Male descend. of Elisha Jernigan and Zilpha Gibbs

We are trying to locate male desc. of Elisha Jernigan and Zilpha Gibbs who were in Duplin CO, NC in the late 1700's for possible DNA testing. My brother has had his DNA tested and we are trying to link our GG grandfather to other Jernigan families. We believe that our William J. Jernigan may be the gg grand son of Elisha and Zilpha Gibbs through their son Jesse and Naomi Bell Jernigan and Jesse's son Elisha Jernigan. Elisha was named as Jesse's son in his will in Stewart CO, TN in 1816. There was an Elisha Jernigan in Decatur CO, GA in 1840 who would have been the right age to be Jesse's son. He had two males who would have been the right age to be the Daniel and William Jernigan there on the 1850 census. We are trying to determine if this William is our GG grandfather who was gone by 1860. We will pay for testing if we can find a direct descendant from this Elisha who died in 1806 in Duplin, the Elisha who was in Decatur in 1840, or a descendant of Jesse or any of his sons. Please contact me (wildbloom) as I do the research and brother just contributes his DNA! Thanks for any leads.
