My mother was a Jernigan from Santa Rosa County, fl and southern Al. b. 1909. Her middle name was Hampton and one of her sisters had a middle name of Higdon. Her father Jesse Jernigan's middle name was Taylor. My question is does anyone have these names in their Jernigan line as I have been told that most persons years ago had a family name as their middle name. Thanks
