JACK, HERE IS WHAT I WROTE. I WILL KEEP WORKING ON EMAIL BLOCKING. THIS IS A BIT OF INFO. YOU CAN WRITE ME EMAIL AND I WILL REPONDE HERE UNTIL FIXED. OR IF dotty@bayes1.com will work. 1. I was worried about the 12 years old also. I found John R. Jerkins married to Mary Jane Batchman (Bachman - I was told my family was worried about being German so they placed the "t" in). I found in the LDS a person posted that in 1902 the two were married on April 19, 1902, Polk, Florida. 2. Mary Jane had a sister named Ellen born in 1882 (Texas), Oscar William, 1886, and her in 1890, but my mother told me that she was always told that Mary and Oscar were twins. They were to be born in Florida. 3. Then there is the idea that Mary Jane never married John Jerkins, but had his son, James William Jerkins, born 1904 (this is my mom's dad). 4. Mary Jane later married William Stephen Acree, 1907, Nov 20, Polk, Florida. My granddad was raised in the Acree family. I know them all. Mary Jane died, 1918 in the Flu Pandemic. She was only 28 years old. I do have a picture of her which is a great possession to me. This is where I found her not to be a twin, but people often didn't know their birthday or actual ages. I would love to find something on them. 5. Ellen is my great great grandman. Her name was Ellen Matilda Pennington and she was born in Texas. This is great information about Benjamin. My ggaunt Oradee Brown Acree told me that the Jerkins crossed over families several times. She said they were some cousins as well. This is so exciting. I did have Col. Bachman as my ggf. 6. I haven't been able to find John R Jerkins either. I was wondering if he died as well. Since Mary Jane remarried an Acree. 7. I would like to find out more about Col. Bachman. I was told his first name was Charles, but I can't prove this either. Anymore help you can give me is wonderful. I will keep you posted if I find out anything new. I only read mail during the week. I did make pictures of all graves last summer, but had a computer crash and didn't back up all info. My dad is suppose to send this to me as I copies them to his computer also.
