I am a Jerkins from North Alabama. Was born and raised in Florence Alabama in 1970. I am the son of James David Jerkins and the grandson of James David Jerkins Sr from Birmingham AL. Don't know much about my family. I know my great grandfather divorced my great grandmother, moved to south AL and re-married an African American woman. My great grandfather was 1/2 Creek indian. My knowledge dies there. Somewhere down the line, my Jerkins family is related to a Creek chief by the name of Chief Mitchell. That is all I know. I wish I knew more. Please feel free to email me @ Would love to know if we were related in some fashion.
