Thanks, Jack, I will correct death date of Henrietta. As to the birth date of John Henry Geiger, Sr, I have seen several different dates, but I'm not aware of solid documentation behind any. I'm afraid that I haven't been able to find any concrete information about him.

I will email you some info on the Clarke Co descendents of Henry Giger. One question on the surname Jerkins - any possibility that the line was originally German? I ask because they wound up in the middle of all those German Huttos and Geigers, and I think that the Germans generally married amongst themselves, though this likely changed a lot after the Revolution. I understand that the name Jerkins is basically from England or Wales, but I have been surprised when I traced back some of my other lines. Nothing sounds more English than my ancestor Betsy Weaver, but I have lately concluded that the original name was Weber which was Anglicized to Weaver. And my Judah line turned out to be the Swiss-German Tschudy. Probably nothing to it, but I thought that I would ask if you had ever considered that angle.

Thanks,
Joe Anderson
