I also have Stockport JEPSONS in my tree.

James JEPSON b c 1801 m Esther KERSHAW 1831, Stockport
On 1861 census lived Great Portwood St, Stockport.
Ch: Margaret b c 1845, Hannah b c 1847, Eliza b c 1850, Ottiwell b 1853 (my g grandfather), Frederick, b c 1856.
On 1881 census Frederick, unmarried, was still living with both parents at 170 Chestergate St Stockport, but also with James Edward JEPSON,14, grandson of James & Esther. Do not know who parents were. Not Ottiwell or Frederick. May have been other children older than those on 1861 census.

Ottiwell migrated to Aust. in 1881 from New Zealand.

Please contact me if you would like further information.
