Sally Davis,
I was delighted to hear form you. my grandfather was Lewis Lyle Jepson, son of M. O. Jepson. He left home at age 13 and went to work on the cattle ranges of New Mexico with david Lee, son of John D. Lee. He went to kanab ut in the late 1800's and ranched there in several locations. I work at a hospital on the navajo reservation. many years ago, I worked one summer for a man whos father ran cattle near alpine and pointed out what he thought was the origional jepson homestead. I would love to share what little history I have, including lew jepson's autobiography with you. It recounts briefly of the wagon trip to st johns and later the move to alpine. best regards

Scott Jepson
