Thomas, Charles, Edward, John Jennings Newfoundland

Our oral history says our Jennings came from England to Newfoundland but where in England?
There are four (or five) Jennings that appear in the Portugal Cove area of Newfoundland in the 1790s.
Thomas, Charles and John all had a son name Thomas.

1) Thomas and Elizabeth Jennings had a son Thomas baptized in April 1790.

2) Charles and Elizabeth Jennings had a son Thomas baptized in 1798

3) John and Mary had a son Thomas baptized January 1816.

4) Another John (or maybe it is the same John) married Elizabeth Harding and had six children - the eldest born about 1800.

5) Edward Jennings and Bridget Nearins had four daughters - the eldest born about 1798.

I am trying to find where theses four or five Jennings came from before they showed up in Newfoundland. Would ceratinly appreciate any help or suggestions.

Thanks
Wanda Jennings Garrett
