James JENNETT,Sr. b abt 1766 Goochland Co VA d 1828/1829 in Stations Camp, Red Lick Creek, Madison Co KY m 1790 Mary "Polly" ____ b abt 1769 VA d abt Nov 1854 Madison Co KY. William HUNTER, son of Rutha JENNETT HUNTER, in his affidavit re the application for his mother receiving a pension states, "He has known Polly GENNETT for about 29 years. She married his mother's brother abt 1790 for he has seen it recorded in her bible." James JENNETT,Sr was the son of Thomas JENNETT b abt 1745 Henrico Co VA d abt 1814 Goochland Co VA & Susanna _____JENNETT.
James GENNETT(Sr) sold 16 Dec 1803 in Goochland Co VA 20A m/l to John GREEN wit: Forris HUNTER, Wm. J. PAYNE. In the 1810 Greenbrier Co VA Tax List Bk 19, Pages 487 & 488 there are 2 James JANET, an Owen JANET, Abraham JANET, & a John JANET. (The 1810 Census for Greenbrier & Halifax Cos were destroyed so the 1810 Tax Lists were used.) James JENNET is thought to have moved to KY by 1816 but he first appears in Madison Co KY Tax Lists in 1819 at Station Camp. He is noted yearly through 1828. In the Madison Co KY Census of 1820 James JENNET has 1 male 10 or under - James, Jr b 1814 Greenbrier Co VA; 1 male 45 or older, James,Sr; 1 female 16-26 - Is this Susan JENNETT dau/o W. M. HUNTER who married James QUICK 4 Feb 1824 in Madison Co KY? Was she the widow of a son of James JENNETT,Sr?; 1 female 10 or undeR: 1 female 45 or older - Mary "Polly".

James JENNETT (Sr) received a KENTUCKY LAND WARRANT. A survey for 50 acres on watercourse Station Camp Creek was made for him 10 May 1822. (Book L, page 339 THE KENTUCKY LAND GRANTS Part 1, by
