I cannot find the site now. I first saw the site about two years ago and sites and links certainly change. As I remember, it had a copy of the original in Dutch and then converted to English. I remember being impressed that the original was shown ... not just the typed version. There were lots more records at this site. As I remember, it was linked to a Mayflower site, but I could be wrong.
I think the information below is from the listing. I would need to check my files to make sure. My typed notes for me just say Dutch records converted to English.
"1021/B33v/1-11-1614 Marriage Certificate
Parties: John Jenny/Jennings, bachelor, brewersman, Norwich, dwelling at Rotterdam, Sara Carey, spinster, Monk Soham;
Marriage certificate John Jenny/Jennings and Sarah Carey, 1614
Witnesses: Roger Wilson, Jane Lee
From Leiden, Holland records, converted to English."
The typos are not mine. I typed it exactly as it appeared in English. Sarah's name was spelled with and without the "h".
I also found a last will and testimony for a John Jennings dated 18/5/1639 and a contract for sale dated 18/11/1637 for John Jennings, tobacco-merchant.
I did not try to figure out who he was because there are records for John Jenney in the United States dated during the period of some of the Dutch records for John Jennings. At the time, I found all of the records very interesting.
I have also seen a slightly different version of the information above for John Jenney and Sarah Carey on the Internet since I found the original site.
I hope this helps. Happy hunting!
