I am looking for information regarding Simpson Jenne who moved from Dartmouth MA to Clarendon Vt around 1780 or so. Mr Jenne was the brother of Elizabeth Jenne who married Thomas White (in Freetown MA in 1751). Elizabeth Jenne and Thomas White had a number of sons, including Simpson White (presumably named after Simpson Jenne). One of these sons (Abner White) moved to Clarendon Vermont (about 1775) and lived there for some 30 years (Vt birth records indicate 8 children born to Abner and his wife Salley--including son named Simpson, after his brother.) I am interested in any connection between the son Abner White and his uncle Simpson Jenne (who apparently both lived in Clarendon at the same time), or any leads about where Simpson Jenne lived in Clarendon to help tract down info on Abner White. One perplexing contradiction is that both Abner White and Simpson White served together in several musters during the Revolution (enlisting from Clarendon), but (at least according to the Jenne book), Simpson Jenne was possibly a Tory and left US for Canada.
Thanks Carl White
