I grew up WNY and am trying to get some details.
Here's what I know:
My father's name was Ronald James Jenks, born in Manhattan, NYC in 1931 and died in 1997. His parents were Ralph Dennis Jenks and Agnes Mary Burt. Ralph's parents were Dennis Jenks and Nettie Nichols. This is as far as I've gotten on the Jenks side of the family, unfortunately. I have no living relatives to draw from there.
On Agnes's side; parents were Anna Tokarski and Wells Burt. Wells's parents were Frank C. Burt and Carrie J. Bigelow. Frank's father was Hezekiah O. Burt (mother unknown). Carrie's parents were Wells Bigelow and Laura Wood. The Bigelow family is still present in Jamestown, NY, where I grew up.
Anyone aware of Jenks' from the North-East (WNY, Pennsylvania, etc.) who might have some details?
