I haven't anyone to bounce theories off about Reginald in a long time, so here is another one out of left field.

William Miller Jenkins (1846-1941), territorial Governor of Oklahoma under William McKinley was the 4th great grandson of Reginald. In an Oklahoma newclipping about the Governor, he stated that his family originated from the Isle of Man off the coast of Wales.

Now that doesn't mean he said specifically the Jenkins branch was from the Isle of Mann. I searched everything I could on the Isle of Mann and have never found anything.
