According to their son, Benjamin Frances Jenkins biography, his parents, Lee and Sarah Frances Parker were VA residents. Sarah died ca 1840 in VA most likely Spotsylvania Co and her husband went to Louisiana to visit his older children and died there. They supposedly had 12 children, 10 who made it to adulthood. References in the bio indicate that some of these siblings moved to the Sumter Co, AL area. I have tentatively id'd these five children.
1.Benjamin Frances Jenkins ca 1828, died De Soto Co, Al
2.Elizabeth Peace Jenkins born ca 1818, married Albert Lancaster and lived in Sumter Co, Al
3. Richard Jenkins born ca 1797, resided in Sumter Co, Al
4. John Jenkins who remained in VA
5. Leroy Jenkins b. ca 1806, married Martha Lancaster. died in Sumter Co, Al.
I'm trying to locate Lee Jenkins and Sarah Parker's parents. They came from Spotsylvania and Stafford Counties in VA. Any help greatly appreciated.
