[Maysville Daily Independent, Monday, March 21, 1955]:
Funeral services for Mrs. Thippe Jenkins Hord, 75, widow of George B. Hord, well known Mason county farmer, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Olivet Methodist church. Rev. Bayard McCann and Rev. K. T. Hill, pastor of the Seddon Methodist church, will have charge of the services and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hord died at 10:50 p.m. Saturday at the home of a son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Irvin Stamper, of Rectorville. A resident of Maysville, where she lived with another son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cobb, of 421 Pelham street. Mrs. Hord had been in poor health for the past 10 years but became bedfast shortly after she went to the Stamper home in January.
She was born in Mason county on February 22, 1880, a daughter of the late Margaret Jane Moody and George Daniel Jenkins.
Besides her two daughters she leaves three sons, Harry and Woodrow Hord, of Rectorville, and John Hord, of Dayton, O., a sister, Mrs. Sudie Trumbo, of Tollesboro, and a brother, George D. Jenkins, of this city. Her 10 grandchildren include Mrs. Frank Grayson, Jr., of Glen Springs, Lewis county, Nancy Stamper, Arvid, Larry, Barry and Pattie Jo Hord, all of Rectorville, Ennis and John D. Hord, of Dayton, and Marinell and Billy Paul Cobb, of this city.

George Daniel Jenkins married a second time, about 1897, to a Mary E. <Unknown>. She had been previously married to a man named Rader, and they had two children.
