Does anybody know anything about this James Rogers mentioned in the prior post:
"In 1795 Philip Bruce, Isaac Smith and Jonathan Jackson were Elders with Bruce in Charleston and Smith on Santee. Enoch George, who would become a bishop, James Rogers and Henry Hill were in Charleston. Enoch George, B. Tarrant, J. Douthit, and J. Jenkins weere mostly on Edisto Circuit, but there was movement between circuit. In 1796 the Santee was served by George Clarke and Nathan Williamson. Charleston by Benjamin Blanton, and Edisto by J. gibson, M. Wilson and M. Black. In 1797 Jonathan Jackson was Presiding Elder with Charleston served by Blanton, John N. Jones and James King; Edisto by John Simmons and Nathan Williamson. The Santeee was served by Tobias Gibson and Josiah cole. Benjamin blanton was Presiding Elder in 1798 and 1799."
Is there any chance he is related to these Jenkins?
Is there any chance he had a Mobley for a wife?
Yet another "long shot"
Thanks for your time!
