Dianna and Richard. This is a post script to the last response. There is no J in the Welsh language. So how are we Jenkins from Wales. The SI in Welsh is pronounced with the toungue against the front top teeth and are going around both sides while saying the J sound. The E is pronounced as E in ten.The N is pronounced as the N in ten and the C is pronounced as the C in cat. Finally the Y is pronounced as the I in tin. Or Siencyn and was written in English as Jenkins.Bill
