Hey Sherry,
It's late but ran into this possible jackpot for your SE LA JENKINS in an email I read. It has LA RECORDS from the JENKINS JUBILEE...Washington & Tangipahoa Parishes Cem. Records, LA Marriages, 1850 Census Tangipahoa Parish info...its all JENKINS JUBILEE Digests Indexes of 4vol.'s available on LDS @ your genealogy library. There's loads of Jenkins data here, but when I saw this I had to do you a quick post. Don't know how familiar you are with LA --- I'm b. & raised here...b. Ruston, & live now near your Livingston Parish area of interest. But, Washington & Tangipahoa Parishes are surrounding parishes of Livingston!!!! Don't know off top of my head how the lines changed during 1800's but this is Great for you. HERE'S THE ADDY to see the digest for yourself & read how to access data :

HAVE FUN,
Your "distant" cousin...maybe not so distant...lol
