Possibly not of any connection, but thought I should let you know of our Jenkin/yn connection.
James Jenkin baptised St.Ives 1/11/1829 came to Australia in 1854 worked as a miner around Ballarat. His wife Mary Kitty (Paynter) and 3 sons came to Australia in 1857 along with her father-in-law James Jenkin and sister-in-law Phillis Jenkyn. They were in Ballarat and Mary later followed her family to, Charlton. Vic. Some of this family went to W.A.too.
James had a brother Thomas b 1831 St.Ives who also came to Australia in 1854 with his wife Elizabeth (Potter)
