It wouldn't hurt to inquire. John Jelinek must have been in his early to mid twenties when he came from czech. There could always be a connection somewhere along the line.
No, my daughter isn't adopted. Her father is a Jelinek, the grandson of Stanley Emil Jelinek and great grandson of John Jelinek b. 1887 and Cecilia Klimek b. 1890.
