Barbara,
Your great grandfather, John B Arledge was my grandmother's brother
She was Harriett Arledge, daughter of Levi and Cynthia Jefferson Arledge.
Yes Cynthia is buried at Silver Creek. About three years ago I bought a marker to go at the foot of her grave, as the headstone was becoming illegible, and my cousin Sam Constance installed it.
Cynthia was visiting or staying with her daughter in Spartanburg county,SC
when she died. She had expressed the wish to be "buried in the ashes of the
old church at Silver Creek and so she was. That is why her grave is across the
road from the rest of the cemetery. It is being encroached upon by a development now. Years ago I went with Reese Arledge to the graves of Levi and, possibly, Clement or Isaac or Amos. They are on a wooded knoll on the opposite side of the road from the Green River above What Reese called Levi's spring which is by the road on the river side.--Jamie
