I am trying to figure out which family Lydia Jane Jefferson who married Caleb T. Stovall in Davidson Co., TN in 1832 belonged to.

Your posting is interesting because there is a connection between my Stovall's and one of the Burton families.

Bartholomew Stovall who died in Henrico Co., Va in 1721 was married to Anne Burton. His will was probated 1 May 1721.

I have not researched the Burton family so I do not know if the Burton family that moved to Davidson Co., TN was related to the Stovall's but it's possible. The Stovall's were in Davidson Co., TN early, fought the Indians at Mayfield Station (Brentwood, TN). A couple of them were killed.

Bartholomew Stovall (there were several Bartholomew's) has a deposition in a law suit in which he states that he was at Mayfield Station. He was a Rev. Soldier and is buried in Trousdale County, TN. He was an uncle to my Caleb T. Stovall.

Thanks for the info.
