If you are on Ancestry there are many Joseph Jeffries in Virginia. The attached obituary may help in getting you started, as it is probably your mother or an aunt.

To do much more you need much more information especially birthdates. You may also try Familysearch.org as the have a lot of free information. Try also /www.findagrave.com/ as some have the obituaries and family information on the deceased.

Lucille K. Gray

Lucille Katherine Gray, 82, of Round Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Winchester Medical Center.

Born in Virginia on Dec. 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Jeffries. Mrs. Gray was a loving grandmother, and she enjoyed doing puzzles.

She was predeceased by her parents; eight brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Harry Russell Gray of Round Hill; three sons, Michael Joseph Suddueth of Sterling, Billy Ashby Suddueth of Charles Town, W.Va., and Douglas Milton Suddueth of Winchester; two daughters, Linda Lucille Poole of Gerrards Town, W.Va., and Janice Arlene Swartz of Leesburg; one sister, Annie Wilshire of Fredericksburg; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Purcellville. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at Hillsboro Cemetery in Purcellville, with the Rev. Parker Thompson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Winchester Medical Center Foundation, Attn: Director of Development, 220 Campus Blvd., Suite 402A, Winchester, Va. 22601-2889.
