I beleive there is some wrong information on the internet about this man. His name was John Randolph Jefferies. Some are calling him John Steen Jefferies. This mistake has come from work done by Clarence Jefferies in 1959.There are so many John's, James, Nathaniel's that he used this method to help indetify each one. He states in his work that the use of the mother's maiden name is sometimes used to designate some paricular person in that family. I hope this will help to clear up the mistake.
