William Jaycox d. NYC in 1817 named, among others, in his will, the children of Widow Hacker. She was Mary (Polly) Hacker the widow of Hoysted (c.1744-1814) He was from RI and served as a captain in the Continental Navy. By 1789 he was in NYC as a pilot. His first wife died in 1794. By 1800 he was remarried to this Mary. She died in 1836. In 1830 census, she is listed between 40 and 50 years old. However based on previous Census data, she was probably born circa 1775-80. I am looking for her maiden name/parents. Any help, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
