My grandfather Gabriel D. Javier was from Cuenca in Batangas. I am looking for information about his family. He left there and moved to Hawaii around 1910. What caught my eye in your message is that his middle name was De la Pina or De Las Pinas. So, I am wondering if there was a connection to the place you mentioned. Not sure how many siblings he had or anything...I have asked since I was a little girl about relatives but he was so closed mouth about it...makes me wonder what happened.
