Patricia,
There is a good chance that we may be on the same tree.It would take some digging back to find the link. The name Jose Angel is very familiar. It has been a while since I have looked at my information. I stay busy most of the year.
I usually do most of my research during the summer and this summer I was unable to do any.The previous two summers I was looking at the church records (LDS film #1162847) from Agualeguas and the Civil Records. These records only go to about 1870.I have looked at the books from SAGA on Agualeguas that cover the same years at the library. To a very limited extent you can view some LDS church records from film #1162847 at familysearch.com. There are other films after 1870 that the LDS has to offer to rent but I haven't finished making notes from 1162847.
What research have you done?Do you have dates of births and other surnames. Is your information on the names for Candelario from family history? I had not seen this name.
Your mother's father was Jose Angel Jauregui Garza.I estimated that he was born 1890's to 1920. Do you have his dates? Candelario 1865 to 1890?
The father of my GGgrandmother, Crispina Jauregui Molina may be Jose Miguel Jauregui De La Garza. He has children in Agualeguas starting in 1829 and the last known child was born about 1844. He is in the church records but I can't recall his date of birth. Sometime in the late 1760's. So I thought he was sort of old to be having his first child in 1829.Possible, of course for a man. I will have to look at my notes.
At the time, that my GGgrandmother Crispina Jauregui was born there was at least one, maybe two Jose Angel Jauregui having children. It may be that it was two different wives. In 1858 there is a child born, Jose Cesareo Jauregui, to Josefa Cruz and Jose Angel Jauregui. In 1865, Maximiano is born to Margarita Ruiz and Jose Angel Jauregui, followed by Felcitas in 1870. Jose Miguel also names a child born in 1844Jose Maximiano and in 1837,Jose de los Angeles.
I collected family history from a great aunt over many years and I would always write side notes as she mentioned names, locations or made a comment. One of these hit home as I was reviewing my notes and I discovered that Jauregui was a direct family surname. The note said,"Mama,me dijo que su primo favorito era Jose Angel Jauregui". My great aunt's mother was Crispina's daugther Teodora Franco Jauregui born 1861 in Agualeguas.
When did your Jauregui family come to the U.S.? Was your mother born there? She probably still hasrelatives that could give her lots of information.
What other surnames from Agualeguas are you researching?
Let me know if any of my information sounds right.
