Elizabeth NORVELL's mother Nancy CARVIN was a sister to my gr-gr-gr-grandmother Mary Carvin, who mar. John Livingston. I am working on the collateral lines. Nancy mar. Nathaniel Norvell and lived in Knox and Pulaski counties, KY. Their dau. Elizabeth mar. Thomas Powell JASPER, who was b. 3 July 1815, Pulaski Co., KY. The family migrated to MO, and later to TX. Children of Elizabaeth and Thomas P. Jasper:
1. Cyrenius H. Jasper, b. 4 July 1839, KY, d. 5 Jan 1929, New Mexico--never married?
2. NANCY CATHERINE JASPER, b. 16 July 1841
3. JAMES NATHANIEL JASPER, b. 14 June 1843, MO, mar. Mary M. (last name unknown). She was b. GA. They had 14 children.
4. (Milford?) FRANKLIN JASPER, b. Apr 1848, MO, mar. Mary (last name unknown), abt 1898 TX?; one child known, E. Lola Jasper.
5. CHARLES H. JASPER, b. Feb. 1850, Whiteville, MO; mar. Emily C. (last name unknown); children were Elizabeth, Dock L., John T. and Sallie D.; possibly others.
6. ANDREW J. JASPER, b. 22 Nov. 1852, mar. abt 1874, Jane E. (last name unknown). They had at least 9 children: John H., b. Aug 1875; Emma, b. Oc.t 1880; Willie, b. Jan. 1883; Maude, b. Mar. 1885; Chalmer, b. July 1887; Thomas B., b. Nov. 1890; Lawrence, b. Jan. 1893; and Minnie, b. Mar. 1896--Minnie may have been "Etta Minne" and married to James W. Neece?
7. MARY FRANCES JASPER, b. Mar. 1855, MO
8. SAREPTA JANE JASPER, b. 1857, MO
9. EMMA DAVIS JASPER, b. Dec. 1859
Descendants lived in Texas as far as I can determine. Sometime between 1860-1880, Thomas P. Jasper relocated to TX. I have been unable to place him in 1870; in 1860 he was in MO; in 1880 he was in TX.
Elizabeth Norvell, wife of Thomas P. Jasper, has a brother John "Jack" Norvell who mar. Polly Jasper; he d. Holt Co., MO, abt 1886. I have not determined if Polly Jasper and Thomas P. Jasper were related.
