My family is the Tippens/Tippins they moved to Hunt County TX in the early 1900s from Alabama(previously Georgia). My GG-Aunt Susanna(Anna)Tippenswas born 1857(approx)Limestone County, AL. She married a Jarvis a few years after moving to Hunt County/Collin County, TX area. She was a widow at the time of her death in 1947(age 89). I do know one of her sisters was,Lucinda or Lucy, married Bant(Burlison) Metheny, then an Ed Hooten. Bessie Tippens- Newby is her other sister. She had 3 Tippens brothers: W.T.(Greenville), John, and S.J., Her father: Alsey Tippens b. 1836 Cherokee County, GA, d. 1877 in Limestone County, AL; her mother was Lucinda Tippens b. approx 1835 in Georgia d. 1933 in Wagner, TX, buried in McWright Cemetery. If there is anyone out there that can give me any information about her family I would appreciate it so much.

Thank you,
Sheral Tippens-Lewis
