For those with Jarretts from PA, NC, GA, AL - you might find some useful information in the book JARRETT: PENNSYLVANIA TO NORTH CAROLINA AND BEYOND by Charles E. Jarrett and Elizabeth Jarrett Walton, published 2006, which has been digitized by the Genealogical Society of Utah and is made available on-line at the BYU Library site at http://contentdm.lib.byu.edu/u?/FH35,47438 This book grew out of C. E. Jarrett's original book, The Jarretts From Macungie, and independent research by Elizabeth Jarrett Walton. The book also includes data about the allied families of Moyer, Israel, Jones, Howell, Cherry, Rogers, and Rice families of VA, NC, and GA. There is an Index, Bibliography, and photographs with credits. Well-researched, source-rich, and a joy to read. There is a search engine at the site allowing you to search within the book. Recommended to those with questions about which John Jarrett is theirs, with a clear explanation about the two different John Jarrett families in early Pennsylvania: the John Jarrett who married Mary Lukens and the John Jarrett who married Anna Maria maiden name unknown a German woman, the latter couple being the subject of this work. The John Jarrett who married Anna Maria received a land grant near Macungie in 1735 and raised his family there. Some of his descendants remained in Pennsylvania, others migrated to Virginia, and some to North Carolina. The authors are descended from John and Anna Maria Jarrett's North Carolina descendants. Some hard copies of the book may still be available from the Old Buncombe County Genealogical Society in Asheville, NC. A printable order form for their books is at http://www.obcgs.com/book.htm and their mailing address is OBCGS, P.O.
