Ned Jarrett (Edward Alphonso Jarrett) was the son of Jesse Orville Jarrett and Eva Zadie Rice. Jesse Orville Jarrett's brother was Robert Cleveland Jarrett, their little sister was Mary Elizabeth Jarrett who md. Arthur Wallace. Ned Jarrett was a famous violin maker and repairer in Atlanta. Jesse Orville and Eva Z. Rice Jarrett were the parents of Edward A. "Ned" Jarrett, Frank Harvey Jarrett, Branyon Orville Jarrett, Floy Katherine Jarrett and Dorothy Dixie Jarrett. Floy K. Jarrett was my maternal grandmother. Branyon O. Jarrett was the father of Dr. Charles Evans Jarrett whose research led to his publication of The Jarretts From Macungie. He published several editions before the final one published after his death in Nov. 2005. Dr. Jarrett's notebooks, letters and photographs were apparently discarded by someone along the way and retreived from destruction by Pat Granger Almquist. She posted a message regarding the items offering them to anyone who wanted them. James Jarrett responded that he wanted them as his Jarrett lines began in Bucks Co. PA. The photographs and family letters cannot possibly be of any use to him or anyone else except the immediate family. I would appreciate some response from Ms. Almquist or Jim Jarrett about this.
