Miller H. Jarrell
IRON STATION Miller Henry Jarrell, 82, 1986 Scenic Drive, died Nov.
27, 2001, at home.
He was a native of Hambersham County, Ga., son of the late Henry and
Lula Franklin Jarrell, Navy veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mamie Burke Jarrell; daughters, Margaret Guffie,
Iron Station, Karen Ward, Clover, S.C.; sisters, Mae Martin, Pauline
Garner, Clarksville, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;
six great-great-grandchildren
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Son, Phillip Jarrell; brother, Carlton Jarrell;
sisters, Alice Nicholson, Annie Cowart
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2 p.m. Friday, Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia,

Mamie Ruby Jarrell, 85, of 1986 Scenic Drive, Iron Station, died Feb.
27, 2006.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Gaston Memorial Park,
Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. today at Greene
Funeral Service - South Chapel, Gastonia.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Guffie and Karen Ward; and
10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great
grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Gaston County, P.O. Box 3984,
Gastonia, NC 28054.

Funeral services for Bertie Lee Jarrell DeMore, age 81, of
Clarkesville will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 11:00 AM
from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tony Kemp will officiate
with burial to follow the service in the Hillside Gardens.
Mrs. DeMore passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009, following a
sudden illness.
A Habersham County native, Mrs. DeMore was born October 25, 1927. She
was the daughter of the late Carlton and Bessie Nicholson Jarrell.
Mrs. DeMore was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist
Church.
Survivors include her husband Bill DeMore of Clarkesville, sons
Richard DeMore of Demorest and Bruce DeMore of Clarkesville, brothers
James Jarrell and Kenneth Jarrell and sister Barbara Grant all of
Clarkesville, as well as four grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5495 Highway 197
S. Clarkesville, on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 7-9 PM.

Lallie Mae Jarrell Martin, 92, of Alley's Chapel Community in
Clarkesville died Monday at a local hospital following a sudden
illness.
Born in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late John Henry
and Lulia Mariah Franklin Jarrell.
She was a homemaker and a member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Martin; infant son,
Odell Martin Jr.; sisters, Annie Taylor and Alice Nicholson; and
brothers, Carlton Jarrell and Miller Jarrell.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Martin Cowart, Clarkesville;
sister, Pauline Martin Garner, Clarkesville; and one granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at
Whitfield Funeral Home North Chapel. Dr. Jeff Patterson will
officiate.
Burial will be in New Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.
