Does anyone here know of a James JARRELL aka James FITZGERALD or "fitz GERALD" ....
I am curious about the ancestry of a James JARRELL or Jerrell or Gerald or 'fitz Gerald' or Fitzgerald, who is the son in law of Jester COCKE and Sarah Cole COCKE and is the husband of their daughter Rebecca Cocke. She was born some time before 1765 somewhere in Virginia and she died after 1817, probably in Alabama or perhaps in Arkansas?
I have read online that a will exists for a James fitz GERALD in Madison County, Alabama.
I believe that I have noticed a few of his descendants referred to here in this JARRELL Genforum, with the surname: JARRELL, although heretofore I'd only known of them by the surname: FITZGERALD.
