Judith

Thank you for the information. So, if Robert Jarman, Jr survived the war, only reported "missing" .. where did he go? Matilda is living with her parenst in 1870 with the boys, and she remarries before 1875 to William Dennis and they appear in 1880 Texas County. So, if Robert actually survived then they divorced. I have a death date of Aug 1863 for Robert, Sr .. maybe they were both in the service.

I am also interested in this GASTON. Could you e-mail me at sbuckley@ipa.net.

My great great grandfather, John Johns, who left his family in Osage County before 1860 is apprently living with a SUSAN GASTON in 1860 Van Zandt Co, TX. Susan married Jarvis Jackson Gaston in Montgomery Co, AR 1855 .. Jarvis was the son of Robert & Sarah Bullock Gaston. I'm wondering if the Allen "Gaston" of Texas County is connected.

I will look forward to hearing from you.

Sandy
