The Jarman Coat of arms is officially documented in BURKE'S GENERAL ARMORY. The original discription of the arms (shield) is as follows:

"OR, THREE BENDLETS GU"

When translated the blazon also describes the original colors of the Jarman arms as:

"GOLD; THREE NARROW RED DIAGONAL BENDS"

Above the shield and helmet is the crest which is described as:

"AN EAGLE'S LEG, JAGGED AN PLACED DIAGONALLY, GRASPING A FEATHER PLACED DIAGONALLY IN THE SHAPE OF AN UPSIDE DOWN CHEVRON."
