Hi Yvonne

It's a bit of a long shot, but is there possibly a connection here? You listed George Jarman's nine offspring, including one Henry Jarman.

My great grandfather was a Henry Jarman who married Caroline Sewell at the church of St Andrews, Halstead, Essex on 30 August 1885. Halstead is only about 12 miles from Stanway (near Colchester), which is where this thread started. If you think there's a connection, I could dig up a bit more information from my father who holds all family records, but I don't think we can trace any further back than Henry.

Best regards
John Jarman
