New Jarman-Burris information
Posted by: sandra burris (ID *****2771) Date: July 26, 2002 at 07:44:58

I recently received a copy of the death certificate of William L. Burris. It stated that Elijah Burris and Nancy Jarman were his parents. This is a surprise! Could there be a mistake of names or is all my history information on the Burris's in TN wrong. My Wm. L. Burris was born in 1829 and died in 1917. Married Cathrine Trails. I had him down as Wm. Jr and his father Wm Sr. as the son of Elijah. Need a look up in your records and see if you can straighten me out. Also, another twist in this information is Nancy being the name of his mother. I had Mary "Walker" Jarman as the wife of Elijah Burris. Never heard of a Nancy nor have I seen one connected with Elijah Burris. This could be her middle name or her first name. However, Her daughter Emily Jarman's death certificate named her as Mary. Emily and William L. lived in the same area for a while before she died. I need help on the Jarman mix up and hope some of you can shed a light on it. Please contact me. Emily and William L. died in Missouri
