I have sent this message to your e-mail listed here for 1998 and am posting it here just in case that e-mail doesn't work, like the one I found at your site : -( [My message there was returned!]

I was doing a search online for VINICOMBE in Devon and brought me to your pages.

I had a great time browsing through and noted that Mary VINICOMBE who married Joseph JARMAN in 1777 was the daughter of Thomas VINICOMBE and Mary BAKER who married in 1752 in Clyst St George Devon.

Mary BAKER was chr Sep 24 1727 in Woodbury to parents George BAKER and Judith MANNAKIN.
She also had a brother, John, chr Apr 29 1733 in Woodbury.

You have George BAKER dying in Dec 1726 but as you can see, he was still alive until at least 5.5 years later : - )

I have no idea what Judith, Mary's mother, had for a surname at birth, but MANNAKIN was her surname from her 1st husband, Charles MANNAKIN (or MANICOM) who died between 1723 -1726 when she married George BAKER on July 26.

Judith and Charles MANNAKIN were married abt 1715 in Clyst Honiton Devon and they had 2 sons --
1) John chr Nov 16 1716 in Clyst Honiton / died Jul 16 1729 in Lympstone Devon

2) Richard chr May 8 1719 in East Budleigh and who married and had 3 sons, Charles, John and Richard.

Virtually every MANICOM in the world is descended from Judith and Charles' son, Richard !!

I would be happy to hear from you!!
Mrs Dallas Manicom
